Standard Voice Limited is a keen and proud investor in community programmes. Social and Community responsibility is one of our top line principles that management and staff agree is a must-have in our formula for success as a corporate. We believe it is important to give back to the community, helping them and the people within them achieve their goals. Our tea is therefore responsible for maintaining good contacts with key stakeholders to ensure sustainable community partnerships; planning and driving the promotion, co-ordination and delivery of employee participation in community events. The key pillars of our Corporate Social Investment are Education, Environment, Community and Health. This is with the realization that Corporate Social investment and Citizenship programmes has to be more strategic in deploying resources and in projects with a large footprint and greater impact at a national stage.

We view our sustainability agenda as the continued commitment by our business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of our employees their families as well as the local community and society at large. Being a good corporate citizen involves all the ways in which our business and products interact with society and the natural world, and encompasses the balance between acting responsibly and the right to trade freely. It includes ethics, governance, relations with employees, customers, consumers and suppliers, communities, health and safety and the environment.

Environment

Standard Voice has and will continue to organized various initiatives in support of a sustaining the environment. We seek to provide sustainable support for the preservation of Singida environment and natural resources through partnerships. We want our business to be sustainable and cause no long-term degradation of natural resources. We acknowledge that our mining operations have impacts on the environment. Our approach is to identify these impacts and take steps to reduce them. Although our policy is to achieve continuous improvement in all aspects of environmental performance, we have concentrated our efforts on areas of greatest impact at our production sites: the quality of effluent, the use of energy, and the recycling of solid waste.

Education

Education is key to the development of a country and is a major focus area for Standard Voice Limited. We want to start an initiative that will see to it that at least we see some needy students through a certain education level, this we will do in partnership with a corporate that has the same mind set and goals as Standard Voice Limited.

Health

SVL recognizes that a working nation needs to be healthy to accomplish the goals of a growing economy. Health is a priority in our programmes as we continue to support Maternal Health and raising awareness on various challenges such as physically and mentally challenged children in society. In focusing on health, we are recognizing the need to provide basic medical care to people who have no access to medical services; primarily village dwellers and marginalized individuals.

Communications

The Communication section assesses the mood, attitudes and perceptions of the company’s publics and interprets them for action.
Through our in-house programs, Zinduka, Mseto, Evening Jam internal and external publics are kept informed of developments within the Newspaper, Broadcasting and Digital, ICT, Finance and Human Resource divisions.

Standard Entertainment and Promotions

Standard Entertainment and Promotions is up and running. SEP involves organizing events that promote the unity o the people of Singida and talent enhancement. Currently the event that is effective is Mr and Miss Talent. Mr. and Miss Talent Singida is a special event to bring out a lot of potential talent and prowess from our youth and the young at heart. Our main aim is to give back to the community in such a way that will have a lasting impact to the community at large in a number of categories. Talent is one thing that cannot be quantified by any one leave alone by the owner who harbors it. This is one of the mysteries that we are yet to crack, the mystery of why one has a talent and the other doesn’t but that is not for us to ask it is the work of our Creator who knows why.

Standard radio is aimed at enhancing what God created and put in some of us. The talent of should I say beauty within and without. The people who are able to bring out their beauty beyond reasonable doubt will be recognized and awarded. The main reason for this is to appreciate God’s creation, this boosts their esteem. Apart from boosting their esteem, they also have a chance to earn something from it. This is an annual event. Apart from this we have a number of events that are coming up, check this space!

SEP also does advertising and promotions of brands that want to see themselves on top of the list as our aim is to see the stars rise.
